2069.0. "How to calculate LOBE-Lenghts with Token Ring Modules for DEChub 900" by NETRIX::"[email protected]" (Peter Dressel-Boeck) Mon Mar 06 1995 12:25

I am really sad!

Is there anybody out there, who is able to tell me, where to find
Configuration Guide Lines for DEChub-Modules.

I want to calculate the maximum length of a ring with three
repeaters in it (DTFOR).

To get information for Cabletron takes me 10 Minutes.
To get information for Lannet takes me 15 Minutes.
To get information for IBM takes me 20 Minutes.
To get no information for DEC takes me 4 hours!!!!!!

Thanks in advance for every usefull pointer, if such exists!
Peter Dressel-Boeck

    Peter,

    The answer is: 2km between DTFORs assuming 62.5/125 multimode fiber.

    Deb Flint is the product manager, DELNI::FLINT

    Hope this helps,
    Mike S.
2069.2I am not shure, but I think not!NETRIX::"[email protected]"Peter Dressel-BoeckThu Mar 09 1995 15:5312
For Type I, 4MB I have to calculate:

MLL=1277 - (28.5 * M + 15 * C) - Dd

MLL is Maximum Lobe Length.

Do you mean MLL is 2 km ??

Thanks for further answer
Peter
