Yes.
>> 2. IP Fragmentation turned on by default. TRUE?
No. Need HUBWATCH to do that.

Yes. They will accept M and S Ports as well as the usual DAS.

1973.2 | Hold state after power down? | DPDMAI::DAVIES | Mark, SCA Area Network Consultant | Wed Feb 08 1995 08:17 | 12 |
| Concerning question #2:
After changing the IP Fragmentation STATE = ON using HUBwatch, will
it remain this way after power is removed?
This would allow them to set each module up and then carry them to the
specified locations.
Thanks,
Mark

Yes, it is saved in non-volatile memory and is preserved across power-ups.

Yes this is a parameter stored in NVRAM. Resetting to factory
settings would reset it back to the default state of off.

| Just a nit but you don't need HUBwatch for this. Any SNMP NMS will do.

1973.8 | How to re-set custom settings in swapped modules? | ROMEOS::HARRIS_MA | Sales Executive II | Wed Feb 08 1995 17:03 | 8 |
| one related question:
OK, the IP Fragmentation switch has now been enabled via Hubwatch,
stored inside the module using NV ram, and the card fails...
Field Service replaces the card. Can IP Fragmentation (or any setting
for that matter) get re-set into the module AUTOMATICALLY?

| If you painted your module blue, then it broke, then field service replaced
it with a new module, you would need to paint your module blue again.
Unless...
In an upcoming release of HUBwatch, there is a backup-and-restore function,
which does SNMP backups of device configurations, which can be restored at
a later date. Coming soon.
