Norbert,
There is no other way to delete the Repeater Security Log other
than to reset the repeater that I know of. This is consistant with
the definition of the Security Violation Log Table in the MIBs.
There are no current plans to change this that I am aware of. Could
you explain your needs further so that they could be considered?
Regards,
Bob

| Bob,
a customer has implemented security on his DECrepeater 900TM. During
the implementation phase, he had many entries in his Security Log.
After setting up the security, he wanted to get rid of all the entries
he had during the implementation phase. This time he called us the
first time.
For the future the customer wants to work the following way:
He wants to check the Security Log on a regularly basis. When checking
it, he wants to see with one look if there were any new events.
Then he wants to do the necessary actions and delete the Security Log.
He does not want to go through the whole accumulated Security Log
each time he wants to see whether there were new events.
He does not want to reset the whole repeater, just for clearing the
Security Log.
The customer does not have a Enterprise Management system, therefore
he does not think about using traps.
