1861.0. "DB90 with flood mode enabled causes port 1 disable after bridge reset" by GIDDAY::DANIEL () Tue Jan 10 1995 07:16

	1. If flood mode is enabled in Decbridge 90 (base F/W 2.2 & Flash F/W
3.1 or 3.4), bridge reset causes the bridge to reboot with back bone
port 1 to be disabled. "set port 1 ena" has to be done to be able to
	   use the bridge.

Is this a feature or a bug?

	2. We have a Decbridge 90 with 65,298 flash rom erases. Is there a limit
	   for this?

Thanks in advance.

Daniel.

  Fixed in V3.9

Jean,

Thanks for the quick reply.

	1. Where can I find 3.9 & the release notes?

	2. When the flood mode ena=0, & the work group address is >200, the
Decbridge manual (EK_DEWGB-OM.B01 page 4-2 ) states that the flood
mode automatically gets enabled. When you sho bridge, flood mode
ena is still 0, but on the DB90, the led 6 (max work group size
exceeded indicator) turns on OK. Is the flood mode ena condition
to disable status also fixed on 3.9?

Thanks in advance.

Daniel.

I have a customer also experiencing the same "port disabled" problem. Where
can I find the magic v3.9? Local information suggests v3.1 is the
    latest.
