The Alarms and Events RMON functionality will be available
in all repeaters on the next firmware/hardware release this
spring. This will be a firmware upgrade to all shipping
90/900 SNMP manageable repeaters.

| Thanks, this is good news. Does this mean that you can set a threshold
in the repeater on every snmp counter and that a trap will be generated
on reaching this threshold?

| Kind of. A number of RMON Alarm and Event table entries will be supported.
We don't know the number yet, call it 32 for now. You'll be able to
set up to 32 alarms on any integer-like object (like counters) supported
by the repeater. You'll be able to choose if you want the event to send
a trap, be logged to the RMON log table, or both.

According to this note stream, we were supposed to get RMON enabled
firmware for all repeaters. I downloaded the latest firmware for the
90TS and 900TM and HUBloader told me it was same firmware as is
currently loaded in the repeaters.
When will we get the RMON updated firmware for ALL repeaters?

| I believe the schedule now is to do the remaining repeaters by the end
of Q1 FY96. Anyone got a better estimate?
