1769.1 | not scheduled. | SLINK::HOOD | I'd rather be at the Penobscot | Fri Dec 09 1994 10:41 | 8 |
| We (in HUBwatchLand) just heard about the a/b-to-m function in the GIGAswitch
within the past couple of weeks, which is kind of late for this release.
There is no one currently scheduled to do it for HUBwatch (any platform)
for version 4.0. This isn't to say it definitely will not be in there, but
it is not in there now (4.0 development) and there is noone looking at it.

Nope.
As usual, product requirements need to go to Product Managers. Send
your requirements to the HUBwatch product manager, Jack NAC::Forrest.

1769.5 | Use GIGAswitch Special Features Guide | NETCAD::FORINO | | Wed Dec 06 1995 09:33 | 10 |
| While this feature is being look at for the V5.0 release of HUBwatch
there are ways of setting it now without HUBwatch. Please get the
GIGAswitch Special Features Guide which has a section concerning
enabling the m-port (and other things).
You can find it at

1769.6 | Requires MIB Browser? | HGRNCC::FARADAYCHONG | | Wed Dec 06 1995 10:04 | 10 |

John,
I have looked into the Special Features Guide, it appears to me that a
"MIB Browser/Walker" (at minimum) is needed to perform the setting.
Can it be done through "console port"?

...this is correct - some sort of SNMP manager is required, whether it
be a MIB browser or a simple command line snmpset

..no
