1743.2 | is AP really a bridge or kind-da? | TENNIS::KAM | Kam USDS (714)261-4133 (DTN 535) IVO | Thu Dec 01 1994 13:17 | 7 |
| My real question is can the DEChub 90 takes 2 bridges or is the
RoamAbout Access Point Bridge a special kind of bridge? I thought the
configuration rule for the DEChub 90 was ONE and ONLY ONE Bridge?

It depends on the number of addresses that that RoamAbout adds to the
workgroup. It is a normal (symetric) bridge, so it won't be a problem
'under' the WGB, but it must not become the backbone side and it must
not make the total number of source addresses on the workgroup side
(all mobile addresses + all in the hub) over the 200 limit for the
DB90.

| On my side on the net I have less than 20 systems. When I place the
RoamAbout Access Point in the DEChub 90 the lights are flashing out of
control then settles to:
o on
o on
o flashing
o on
o off
o flashing
o on
However, the AP will NOT respond now at the console.
Any one get this to work? We tried configuring the AP as a Full Bridge
and as a Workgroup Bridge. No difference. Any insights would be
appreciated.
