1730.1 | Works on NT | WRAFLC::WOODALL | MACRO is the best. | Tue Nov 29 1994 12:33 | 9 |
| Robert,
I have installed probewatch V3.1 on windows NT V3.1 (actually, you
have to install it under MS-windows 3.1 and then add the program icon
to NT). IT WORKS WONDERFULLY!
Yes, you can take advantage of all the multitasking built-in to NT.

.1 must be running the field test verion of the NETscout product from
Frontier. It is a Windows based product and has a reporting function.
Our Probewatch for Windows product currently shipping has no reporting
capability that I've seen.

See note 1702.4 the current V3.1 PROBEwatch has the same
reporting capabilities as the NETscout product.

1730.5 | Reports are interactive on Windows | NAC::FORREST | | Fri Dec 02 1994 20:49 | 10 |
| The current kit does have a reporting function. See
NAC::NIPG:[MANAGE.RMON]LOGREPRT.TXT for info on setting up logging
and running reports.
The reports have to be run interactively on Windows however. Perhaps
a way can be found to wake up a background process and run a report?
This can be done with the ULTRIX kit (see CHRONTAB.TXT or something
like that, in the same directory above), and I presume can be done
with the OSF kit when we get it.
