I have installed HUBwatch V3.1 for Windows on a DEC 466pc and found a
strange problem. I get an error from WSAStartup that says "WinExec
PWWSOCK.EXE failed, low conventional memory?" when I start Hubwatch.
the error did not occur when I deleted the "PATH = c:\dos;c:\windows"
line from AUTOEXEC.BAT
Can anyone tell me why this occurs??

I have already seen this problem, i thinks that you have a old version of Winsock.dll somewhere in your path if my memory serves me this problem is documented on readme.txt hopes that help you Jean-Yves

The error has nothing to do with "low conventional memory." It is actually telling you that the PWWSOCK.EXE file is not in the HUBWATCH\IPSTACK directory. As Jean-Yves said, it is documented in the README file what you must do when you are running the Pathworks stack. I don't know why the error did not occur when you removed the PATH line from your AUTOEXEC.BAT file. ...Roger...
