1693.0. "DEF6M-MA MIC-PMD LED lit on orange." by TKTVFS::OHTSUKA_MU () Tue Nov 15 1994 07:14

I have a DEF6M-MA trouble .

One DEF6M-MA(port#1-5) connected 5 work stations by mic-mic cable.
DEF6M-MA is supplied power by HUBone.DEF6M-MA port#6 is connected other
DEF6M-MA port on DEChub900MS.

Trouble : DEF6M-MA port#1-4 MIC-PMD led lit on orange. Workstations don't
	  communicate other one.

	  When customer RE-connected MIC-cable on DEF6M-MA , DEF6M-MA port
	  recovered to led green on each PMD.

Action: I replaced DEF6M-MA unit. But trouble occured again.
		(MIC-PMD port1-4 led lit on orange)

          Each DEF6M-MA F/W version 2.0.

Can I get more information ? And I want know mean of MIC-PMD orange LED .

Thank you.

    If the port is lit orange, it means that the port determined that there
    were too many link errors, and the port was disconnected. When you
    pulled the connection, and reinserted it, the connection was restarted,
    and there was no error, so the light was green.
