I have a customer that wants to connect a 10base2 to 10base5 MAU from the side of a DEChub 90 to a DELNI which is in turn connected via a transciever to a 10base5 backbone. Is this legal? Thanks,

Only the Global port on a DELNI is able to supply power to a transceiver be it thickwire or thinwire. You will need 2 powered ports in order to do this so no can do. Use something like a DEFAR in the hub as it will pick up the hub thinwire and the AUI can go to a transceiver on the thickwire or to one of the 8 AUI ports on the DELNI. dave |
