1643.0. "Configuration retained after power re-cycle?" by HGRNCC::FARADAYCHONG (Faraday Chong@hgo 852-8053590) Tue Nov 01 1994 08:26
This is question regarding retention of configuration setup across
power failure. Previous notes seemed to confirm this.
For a particular configuration, eg, DEChub 900MS, DECswitch with FDDI
come out to front panel and a number Ethernet in the backplane, a few
DECrepeater 900TM connected to DECswitch 900EF via backplane flexible
channels.
Will this configuration be preserved if we remove AC power from the hub
and then re-apply power again? Note: there is no removal of any
modules.
To generalize the scenario, will configuration be retained for other
modules after AC power re-cycle?

| Yes, backplane LAN connections are saved across hub power cycles.
