Subj: Rack-mount kit for the 90 form factor modules
Hi, Euan,
my name is Mike Romm. I am a mechanical engineer responsible for installation
and cable management products in DECCONNECT group. Yes, we have a kit for
rack-mount stand alone 90 form factor boxes. Option number is H9544-MS.
This tray is designed for mounting all boxes without fan extender, like
DEFMI or Decbrouters 90. (editor's note - it is the DEFMI & DECbrouter
which have fan extenders, and so do not fit in this bracket)
Power supply is " positively located' as you said
on the same tray with the special bracket. The solution for the rest of 90
form factor boxes is in design and will be available later in this FY.
If you have any question, please give me a call. My DTN is 226-6181.
Regards, Mike Romm

Well, kinda.
If you have a 90 module that uses the US version of 5v-only power
supply then it needs some creative work. The H7082-AA p/s has its AC
plug directly on the surface of the power supply i.e. the power supply
box plugs directly into the wall or power strip. If you attempt to
mount this in the special bracket on the same tray then it gets a bit
clumsy.
Not really a fault of the H9544-MS, but why is there a special bracket
for the 5v only power supply? Certainly you don't want us mounting
those things with the AC connectors pointing straight up? I'm guessing
its only the US version that was "value engineered" this way. I'm
guessing the international version has the universal power plug with a
separate power cord like most everything else we make.
