	Hi,

	I have a simple DEChub900 configuration with a DECrepeater 900 as IP
	service for the Hub Manager.
I.e. via the HUBmam console IP address for In bound is specified
for Slot 7 (slot of the repeater).
No Out Bound address are specified, there is also no IP address defined
	for the repeater it self.

When PNV discover the Hub it build a specific point-to-point segment
with a child submap containing a repeater icone connected to a ring.
Looking at the description of the object (IP map) I have

Interface Status IP address Network Mask Link Address Interface Type
Hub Up 16.183.32.230 255.255.255.0 <None> SLIP (Serial Line IP)

Looking at the the interfaces, they are 9 with
ifDescr.1 : DISPLAY STRING- (ascii): OBM Port
	 ...............................................
ifDescr.9 : DISPLAY STRING- (ascii): Hub Slot 8

	and
        ifType.1 : INTEGER: slip
        ........................
        ifType.9 : INTEGER: slip
These of course are read-only variables

Is it a way to change that configuration, I should expect to see my Hub
connected to my Ethernet segment rather than on a apart one?

	Thanks,
	Robert

No, there's no way to change this.

The connection from the Hub Manager to the repeater is actually a
serial line (the hub management channel); the repeater is forwarding IP
packets for the hub manager from the ethernet to that serial line.

If you look at the ifTable for the repeater, you'll see the ethernet
connection. You can do that either by assigning an address to the
repeater (redirect the hub setup port to the repeater slot to access
the setup menu of the repeater), or using the 'slot community' for the
repeater with the IP address of the hub (ie 'public-7' if the hub
community is 'public' and the repeater is in slot 7).
