The configuration works, but the wring is wrapped, which is OK, but
suboptimal.

I am assuming that you meant that the ring would be configured as follows:

		Hub 1		Hub 2 		Hub 3

Front panel	     A=========B      A=========B

Backplane			A-BA-B

    This would only require 2 connections in the backplane, for a total of
    4 channels

    Another way to do this would be to build a dual ring in HUB2, and
    connect Hubs 1 and 3 to the M ports of the concentrator in Hub 2 as
    follows:

		Hub 1		Hub 2 		Hub 3

Front panel	     A=========M M==============B

Backplane			BA-BA-BA

    This would require 3 connections in the backplane, for a total of 6
    channels.

Hi there :-),

I'm currently checking a customer network design for an outsourcing project here
in Germany, and I'd like to know if the following network and hub configuration
is valid with the currently shipping modules:

Hub 1:			Hub 2:			Hub 3:

1 DECbridge 900 MX	1 DECbridge 900 MX	1 DECbridge 900 MX
1 DECserver 900 TM	2 DECconcentrator 900	1 DECserver 900 TM
1 DECrepeater 90 C	1 DECrepeater 90 C	1 DECrepeater 90 C
			1 DECrepeater 90 FA

The FDDI DAS connections would run as follows:

Hub 1:			 Hub 2:			     Hub 3:

DECbridge 900 MX - A-B - DECconcentrator 900
		   B-A	 DECconcentrator 900
			 DECbridge 900 MX    - A-B - DECbridge 900 MX
					       B-A

The connections in Hub 2 would run as DAS connections (A-B, B-A) on the
backplane (4 FDDI connections = 8 channels).

Is this configuration OK? Am I missing something? Required firmware levels or
other stuff perhaps?

Please answer as soon as you can, the project is tight on schedule and I will be
out of the office next week.

Thank you very much in advance
