1575.0. "Stack Fault in KRNL386.EXE ?" by NAC::LICAUSE () Fri Oct 14 1994 09:01
Just installed the V3.1 HUBwatch software on a DECpc 425SE with 20MB
of memory. It's running Pathworks V5 with both DECnet and IP stacks.
It has a Xircom PCMCIA ethernet adapter and works just find for DECnet,
IP, LAT, IRIS and all other network applications except Hubwatch,
Probewatch and Mosaic.
The error received when attempting to start HUBwatch is:
"Cannot write to device AUX" (cancel retry)
I hit the cancel button then:
Application Error
HUBWATCH caused a Stack Fault in module KRNL386.EXE at 0001:98AA.
The same error is generated when the PC is booted w/o the network and
the PCMCIA components have not been loaded so it appears that something
other than the network may be at fault. I can't find anyone that can
tell me what this error means or how to fix it.
I've read the READ_ME file and all files appear to be where they should
be. I've tried both installing HUBwatch alone and with the network
components. Same results either way.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
