Overtemp protection is provided on most DEChub900 MAX modules.
When installed in the DEChub900, modules notify the Hub Manager
when their temperature reaches a danger zone - termed the "yellow
zone". The Hub Manager displays the temp-yellow condition on the
LCD display. If the module's temperature reaches a dangerous level,
termed the "red zone" it notifies the Hub Manager, and shuts itself
off. Other modules are *not* affected.
When standalone, the modules just shut themselves off if they get
too hot.
I'm not sure what the temperature ratings are for the yellow and red
zones.
In the next version of the Management Agent Module users can configure
the Hub Manager to send SNMP traps when over-temp conditions arise.
I don't know how HUBwatch represents the over-temp conditions.

The modules and power supplies trip to "yellow zone"
at approximately 30-35C ambient. Under this condition
fan speed increases to increase cooling.
"Red zone" trips in at about 55-60C ambient.
There is also fan failure detection. Should one fan
fail the remaining fans trip to high speed, regardless
of ambient. An appropriate signal is sent to the Hub
Manager, allowing for an orderly shutdown and field
service repair.
