Hi,

I am working in a proposal where I need to answer a couple of requirements:

1) is Digital doing something in order to provide a FDDI module through the
   which it would be possible to interconnect the FDDI Rings built on the
   DEChub 900 Backplane? If this is the case, how this would be done (seven     
   ports in a FDDI bridge or router).

2) It would be possible to think in a FDDI switch module for the DEChub 900?

The customer is going to have 5 dual FFDI Rings. I know and in fact we proposed
them make no only the interconnection between the FDDI Rings but also the 
integration of the Computers in a Switched FDDI configuration through the use
of our Gigaswitch. However they told me the price is high. I have seen in the
Gigaswitch Conference that maybe in some time we could offer a small FDDI
Switch, the problem here is that at this moment this is maybe just a project.

In summary the customer told me they are looking some switch HUB based that
can provide share Ethernet, share FDDI, Dedicated Ethernet ports and dedicated
FDDI ports (switched FDDI) modules. I am not sure if there are some kind of
these devices in the market.

    	I'd be interested in seeing what product today could provide
    switched FDDI like the Gigaswitch can. What are the customer thruput
    needs?
