1529.1 | DECbrouter is not agent. | HGOVC::SIUKEUNGLEE | | Wed Oct 05 1994 13:29 | 14 |
| Hi,
The DECbrouter is not a snmp agents. So you get "No respone from agent
". The DECserver 90Tl have a agent software build in. If you want to
managements the DECbrouter 90, you may need to have a DECagents on
their networks.
Bye!

| re 1529.1
Dave,
In previous notes and in all previous technical articles on hubwatch it
says that the brouter as an agent built-in, to prove it, I connected
to it using HUBwatch for VMS V3.0, no problem.

I think, it's a little "no wish issue" for the current field test version of
Hubwatch for windows 3.1 , look at notes 1405.6

1529.4 | Just for the record... | SLINK::HOOD | I'd rather be at the Penobscot | Wed Oct 05 1994 15:46 | 13 |
| I just want to repeat .2...
The DECbrouter 90's DO have an integral SNMP agent. In fact, it is the only
SNMP agent available for the brouters. (Neither the DEChub 900 manager nor
the DECagent 90 can proxy for the DECbrouter 90's.)
To manage the DECbrouters, you must assign them an IP address and also
must enable SNMP in them.
The problem in .0 is a bug in that version of HUBwatch.
