DECpacketprobe 90 Release Notes Firmware Version 2.0
AA-QBXEA-TE August 1994
These Release Notes describe how to quickly set up and configure your
DECpacketprobe for use with your PROBEwatch application.

1520.4 | Docs != code | ROGER::GAUDET | Because the Earth is 2/3 water | Tue Oct 04 1994 15:13 | 5 |
| You are correct, Jean-Yves. The release notes were written for V2.0, but the
firmware is actually V2.1. Apparently there were no "notable" changes from
V2.0 to V2.1 of the firmware.

| sorry, I should have searched on kits not firmware,
however does this version 2.1 of PROBE firmware fix the issues
mentioned in this conference about inability to register the PROBE in DECmcc?
Thanks

1520.6 | yes | MFRNW1::SCHUSTER | Karl Schuster @UFC OMS/Network Services Munich | Wed Oct 05 1994 09:45 | 7 |
| Yes, it registers with MCC. I have tried it out.
I can also read the RMON data with MCC.
Read the release notes before! You have to change some default
parameters on the probe before.

| Karl,
Thanks for that, the release notes suggest that the problem is fixed, but it
is nice to know that someone has succesfully tried it out.
