1500.1 | PEswitch can use any 6 of 12 flex channels | NETCAD::BATTERSBY | | Fri Sep 30 1994 12:59 | 5 |
| Yes the PEswitch 900TX is capable of using the first 6 of 12
flex channels on the backplane, or any combination of 6 of
the 12 available flex channels.

1500.2 | missed a couple of channels | CGOS01::DMARLOWE | Have you been HUBbed lately? | Fri Sep 30 1994 13:19 | 9 |
| Very small nit. The 900 backplane lower connector has 10 full channels
and 4 half channels for a total of 14. You can create up to 14
FDDI channels or up to 16 Ethernets or some combination of both.
Until more chips are installed in the 900 Ethernet modules we can only
use the IMB on the upper connector and the first 5 channels on the
lowe connectors.

1500.3 | The PEswitch can only use the top 6 channels... | NETCAD::BATTERSBY | | Tue Oct 04 1994 13:53 | 6 |
| Ok....my brain was leaking molasses or something when I replied.
The FDDI to the backplane can use any of the 12 channels.
The Ethernet to the backplane is dedicated to the top 6 channels
just like the other DECbridge/DECswitch modules.
