Hi, I have a question regarding the use of decndu to upgrade the firmware in the DRChub 900 modules. In the HOW2LOAD.TXT file it says to use a dedicated IP address as the downline load address. Is there any reason why the existing IP address of a module intended to be upgraded couldn't be used? Thanks.

What it is saying is that the module itself must have an IP address assigned to it, rather than loading the module via the Hub Manager (aka MAM) and its IP address (MAM assisted load). So, if your module already has an IP address assigned to it, that will work fine. Regards, Bob | |||||

FYI, the information in the HOW2LOAD.TXT file regarding using a "dedicated IP address" is for those who have large configurations that need to be updated but they do not have a unique IP address for every device. In this case, you can use a single IP address (the so-called "dedicated IP address") to update each module, remembering to set the address in the device, perform the upgrade, then delete the IP address from the device. ...Roger... |
