I have a configuration with a DECconcentrator 900MX that is using port
1 as a multi-mode PMD A port and port 6 as a multi-mode B port and with
a requirement to use a single-mode PMD as an M port. In previous notes
it is unclear to me if this can be done. The problem of leaving a
blank space next to the single-mode PMD is not an issue. The question
is if the single-mode PMD can act as an M port only.
Thanks for your help.
Regards, Brian

I don't know of any reason why you cannot use the SMF PMD as an M port.
