| This isn't a direct answer to your question, but we are planning on porting
HUBwatch V3.1 to Sun shortly. And, in answer to your next question, I don't
have the date corresponding to "shortly".
To just use Sun net manager, all the DEChub mibs are publicly available. For
many functions, a general-purpose SNMP manager (like s.n.m) will do the job.
For things like LAN interconnect and a few other areas, it will be a very
difficult job.

1353.3 | Managing the DEChub using a MIB-browser. | NACAD::GALLAGHER | | Fri Aug 26 1994 14:11 | 18 |

It's difficult to manage most products using a generic MIB-browsing tool
like SUNnet Manager. The DEChub900 is no exception. In particular,
LAN hopping using a MIB-browser is *very* difficult.
Sure, you can use MIB-browsers for monitoring, and for simple control.
However, most complicated control functions require tailored applications
like HUBwatch. Again, the DEChub900 is not alone in failing to live up
to network management nirvana.
The DEChub900 MIBs can be easily compiled into SUNnet Manager.
