Using PacketProbe90 and PROBEwatch, Can I find out a top talker at peak period? SNMP trap can tell us that segment utilization is over threshold, but we cannot find the reason. My customer want to know which node transmits many traffic at peak period. Regards, kohei

Neither the probe, nor PROBEwatch stores the top talker at the peak busy time. However, you can set a threshold on utilization or packets or octets or broadcasts. Then when you get the Trap (alarm), you can use PROBEwatch to look at the Top Talkers, Broadcasters, etc. In the next release of PROBEwatch (October), you can run a script on receiving a Trap, which would then go get the Top Talkers for you. |
