1325.0. "lan traffic, netview?" by SMARIO::DAVIDSON () Fri Aug 19 1994 05:58

    Looks like hub900 collects lan statistics and these can be viewed via
    hubwatch, is this correct?

    In the absence of netview for osf...

    Is there a netview, mib browse application available available to
    display lan stat's?

    Thanks,
    	Stuart.

1325.1did I answer your questions?NAC::FORRESTMon Aug 22 1994 19:148
	Correct that HUBwatch allows you to view most collected counters.

	I know of no product that just contains a MIB Browser only. The
	cheapest product with a MIB browser is $495, but for the same
	price you can buy HUBwatch.

	NetView on OSF does include a MIB Browser, if that is your question.
1325.2yes you did, but...SMARIO::DAVIDSONMon Aug 29 1994 15:569
    Thanks, you answered my question.

    However, when I said mib browser I should have said 'netview mib
    application' ie. to present/graph the collected data.

    So, since the hub holds the data has anyone written such an
    application?

    Stuart.
1325.3no DEChub applications other than HUBwatchNAC::FORRESTTue Aug 30 1994 17:568
	No one has written a DEChub-specific application for Polycenter
	NetView to my knowledge, however HUBwatch for OSF AXP release is
	getting close. You should be able to launch HUBwatch from the
	NetView map.

	If you are still interested in a separate application, you might
	try posting something at MOLAR::NETMGT or at {VINO,YQUEM}::POLYCENTER.
