1268.1 | Please upgrade to latest code | DELNI::ROUNDS | | Wed Aug 03 1994 07:59 | 21 |
| Jon,
The Hubwatch engineers will respond to the UCX error message.
However you are running a very old version of Hubwatch and the
latest released version of Hubwatch has been extremely enhanced
with new features and functionality and bug fixes. One of the primary
functions is the ability to do LANHOPPING. If your customer has
DC900MX,DB900MX (bridges and concentrators), he requires HW V3.0
to manage his network. There are pointers in this notesfile to HUBWATCH
documentation which includes pre-requisite software versions.
I strongly suggest you work out getting HW3.0 working with UCX and then
upgrade your customer explaining the advantages to running the latest
code.
Has the customer upgraded all his hub devices based on the May release
of production code? See Note 1008.

1268.2 | Compatability between old Hubwatch & new UCX? | KERNEL::WARDJO | | Thu Aug 04 1994 05:39 | 12 |
| Thanks for the response,
I know the customer is running old software, V2 was the oldest version
I had to try & reproduce his problem.
I am trying to get the customer to upgrade but I was trying to find out
if there is a compatability problem with the old version of Hubwatch &
the latest version of UCX.

| We've seen lots of weird ucx problems when developing HUBwatch, but I don't
have any idea of which ones might affect HUBwatch V1.1. That code is just
too old. I don't think I've even got a V1.1 kit around here.
