| The 900FP is 12 port concentrator wich can be configured as a 6 port
with redundant links. The 12 ports of the concentrator can beswitched
to individual channels in the backplaine by pair of ports.
So, you can assign the 12 ports to maximum 6 IMB's in the backplane.
The default config is all ports pointing out the front the front. You can
change the config with HUBwatch V3.0 wish is only available on VMS today.
The windows version will become available somewhere in September.

This statement is a bit misleading. All of the repeater's ports ALWAYS
point out the front. In contrast, DECbridge 900MX's ports can EITHER
point out the front OR out the back.
The default configuration is all ports in a single configured in a
single internal lan/group (acting as a single 12 port repeater) but not
connected to any backplane flex channels.
See 1131.11 and 1131.13 for more detailed information.
