1208.0. "Hubwatch on NT?" by ATYISA::ROGGEBAND (Unplugged) Tue Jul 12 1994 09:22

    Hello,

Does hubwatch for Windows run on NT? (Intel or alpha or both)

    Thanks,

    Philippe.

No, HUBwatch does not run on NT. At present, NT is not on our top
5 or 6 list of platforms to port to. Our list of platforms is
prioritized based on doing Windows and OSF/1, and others when it
is obvious that we are losing significant business by not being
	on them.

When NT starts appearing on the customer checkoff list, then we'll
	add it to the list.

If HUBwatch is written as a Win32 program, it doesn't need to be
ported to Windows NT, because it *is* a Windows NT program.
Therefore, you could be writing a native Windows NT program with no
extra effort.

Just a note of caution. Even if HUBwatch does happen to work under NT,
nobody here in HUBwatch-land is running NT, and nobody in system test is
running NT. We have no way to prove it works to the same level as on
the supported platforms, and we have no way to track down customer problems
if the customer is running under NT.

So, if someone should run HUBwatch under NT, they do so at their own risk
and they cannot get support from the HUBwatch team on problems.
