    When will the tree config for DECconcentrator 900 available in the hub?
    
    Customers want to dual home a hub with concentrators to other
    concentrators.  
    
    The lack of this feature is causing alot in the field.
    
    Using external connection to tree the concentrators is NOT an answer.
    12 ports will be lost to do this externally and it is not exceptable
    to the customers.
    
    FDDI Customers are seriously looking at other vendors hub because of this
    lacking feature.

    Tree support across the backplane of the DEChub 900 will be supported
    in the Wave 3 release of hub products that will be available in the 
    Q3 FY95 (March) timeframe.  Note #651 detailed that dual ring support
    and tree support across the DEChub backplane would be released in two
    different waves.  Unfortunately the time differential between waves is
    longer than we would like but downsizing has hurt our schedules 
    tremendously.

    Any further info on this capability -- we need it badly for a major
    BRS project in the UK. We would be prepared to work with pre-release
    version of he firmware and HUBwatch.
    
    Timeframe for this is to start setting up the network and tesing early
    March 1995.
