1183.0. "Sending BOOTP Request - no buffer space" by HGOVC::TIMA_BURANCE () Mon Jul 04 1994 07:08
Hi,
I think the MAM image is corrupted because druing start up, LED
displays "Sending BOOTP Request".
I have read 1156.6 but I don't have Ultrix around so I use
OSF/1 instead.
However "line speed 38400" does not work, it works at 9600.
Then the LED displays the block number that has been received.
Finally the down line load fails because of "no buffer space".
Besides for each block sent by OSF/1, it repeats 23 times. It seems
that it waits for the proper ACK back.
The output result is attached as below.
Must I use Ultrix to downline load the image ? Is DMHUB300.BIN is
the proper image that I need to use ?
Thanks,
Burance.

It looks like you may have a problem with either your tftp or the copy
of the file. Did you copy the file in 'binary' mode? How did you
obtain it?
The file size for V3.0.0 should be: 485376
The output of the 'sum' command should be: 24636 474
The error message looks like it was local buffer space on the host that
you ran out of - strange.
