Hi, I have seen a couple of cases where high bursty traffic generates alot of CRC error. On 70000 packets up to 5 CRC packets could be recived. On one site the customer swapped every thing except for the backplane. The test the customer did was to copy a file between two AXP systems. I have reproduced the problem inhouse with a DEChub90 with one DB90, DA90 and DR90T. On the DR90T I connected a DECpacketprobe90 and a Sniffer. They both reported CRC errors when the hub was reciving a high traffic load from a DEC3300 doing a ping -l 70000 -s 400 to the DECagent90. The load on the hub reported by the sniffer was an average on 85% with peaks up to 98%. It seems that the DEChub90 don't handle high traffic loads very well ! Any comments ? /Stefan
