1094.0. "Trap and DECHUB900" by PADNOM::PEYRACHE (Jean-Yves Peyrache Country Support Group France) Thu Jun 09 1994 10:27

 hi,

 using Hubwatch V3.0 for open vms , MAM V3.0 Decbridge900MX V1.2.1
Decconcentrator900MX V2.0.

  i tried unsucessfully to generated some traps messages and of course
   to display the result in the Viewer windows,
  just a simple trap "cold Start" from
   Decbridge900Mx
   Decconcentrator900Mx
   MAM

  does'nt works ,same trap on Decagent90 v2.1.3 works as expected on the
 same station.

  are these traps are supported as well under these versions

  thanks for any comments

    Do the DECbridge 900MX and DECconcentrator 900MX have
    their own IP addresses? This is required to receive traps
    from hub modules installed in the DEChub 900 since the
    MAM will not forward traps for the modules. You will
    also need entries for these modules with traps enabled
    in the hubwatch alarmed agents file.

    I'm not sure why you aren't getting traps from the MAM.
    What are you using for an IP services module?

    Regards,
