| Offered load is a rough measurement of the readable traffic coming into
the repeater port as a percent of the total bandwidth.
The online help will give you the exact formula used for this
calculation.

If you have polling on then the numbers are updated every polling
cycle. Otherwise you need to do a refresh.

1074.4 | The speedometer display any traffic or only peak ? | TLAV02::WITTAYAJ | | Wed Jun 08 1994 08:25 | 15 |
| Hi Bob,
Thank you very much for last reply. Let me to introduce myself,
I am Wittaya Janmayka from Network Team at Digital Thailand.
I have another problem that need you to resolve it.
I was enable polling mode in Hubwatch but the speedometer did
not move it still point to old place. I see only a numeric under it
change when it had a value more than old value.
Could you tell me a speedometer will change when it has a new peak
value or not ?
I do not have DECrepeater900TM or HUB900 in my office,so I must go to
customer site for test this. My customer usually ask me Why does not
it work ? Why does it slow ? ( The traffic is 40-70% utilization)
Thank you
Tony

1074.5 | Speed-ometer move but slow | TLAV01::WITTAYAJ | | Thu Jun 09 1994 23:25 | 9 |
| Hi Bob,
I had sit in front of Hubwatch station and wait it for 3-5 minute.
I saw the speed-ometer move and change but speed-ometer 's scale is
very large ,so I can not see when it had changed.However, I think
i can see a changing of it from a numeric under it.
Thank you
Regard,
Wittaya J.

| Hi Wittaya,
A couple of things
Those speedometers use logarithmic scales. Therefore, you will
see them move more at lower utlitizations than higher ones.
Also, HUbwatch currently uses only one polling queue for all
of the views that are up so it will take several minutes to
update the gauges.

Bob
