1073.0. "DECbridge900MX routing- how does it work?" by GIDDAY::DRANSFIELD (Mike Dransfield, Sydney RSSG) Mon Jun 06 1994 06:49
Is there any documentation on exactly how the ip routing in the
DECbridge 900Mx is going to work?
I am trying to figure out the ip network design for a site which
will have an FDDI ring with a decnis 600 and 18 DECbridge 900Mx's
on it each decbridge with a number of ethernet connections, both
UTP and thinwire..
I need to know if I can setup the routing with one subnet per decbridge
and route through the decnis today, and then when the routing comes for
the decbridge, have the routing happen on the decbridge instead of
bridging it across to the decnis.
thanks,
Mike

| and more particularly, will it support rfc 1542 so that DHCP (1541)
will work across it?
Thanks
Mike
