I have been trying to configure HUBwatch for Windows on following environment. 486 PC with 3COM 3C523 ODI DRIVER (or NDIS) Windows for Workgroups V3.1 HUBwatch for windows V2.0 When enter IP address on HUBWatch window, but HUBwatch not work with following error message. The socket cannot be created. Error Number returned : 1001. No TCP errors on boot and can ping to other node. I got following error message when windows up, VTCPIP : Device load failure TCPIP is not install or not right version. I try to change the TCPIP module from Pathworks's to novel's. no error message on windows up. But HUBwatch still not work same message. My Question is, Does HUBwatch for windows support on Windows for Workgroups? Any Workaronud to fix this problem ? Thanks in advance, Atsushi Shiozawa

> Workgroups was not supported in this release. I want to know this reason. Many applications running on Windows are also running on WFW. Any difference on Window socket calling between Windows and WFW? Or any other reason for not support? Are there any workaround on WFW? I want to try to configure on WFW, but I'm not familiar to PC and PC applications. > We'll add it to the list. When will be supported on WFW ? Next version? (V3.0?) Please give me any additional information. Thanks, Atsushi | |||||

We didn't support it because Pathworks didn't support it in their v5.0 stack. I believe you can now get a version of Pathworks that works with WFW. If this is true, use the new Pathworks stack and Hubwatch should run just fine. (I have not done this myself so I could be wrong). Jim |
