The purpose of this memo is to make you aware of the kits that are 
available to service DEChub customers. We wwant to inform you of 
the availability of these kits, so that you are better able to answer
customer questions.

There are three kits available. These are:
	DEChub Consolidated Firmware Kit - All DEChub firmware is 
	   contained in this one kit. Avaliable in OpenVMS VAX and 
	   MS-DOS versions.

	HUBwatch/DEChub Consolidated Firmware Kit - Contains the kit
	   described above, GIGAswicth Firmware and HUBWatch

	DEChub Consolidated Docuemntation Kit - While each of the above
	   kits contain the appropriate release notes, those kits do 
	   not contain product manuals. Should a customer wwant new 
	   manuals, they may order them individually, or get the 
	   complete set by ordering this kit.

These kits are  described in detail below. 

Other items to be aware of:

	. The QA-0GEAA-AA HUBwatch for OpenVMS VAX Media and Doc set Part 
	  Number is now substituted with the QB-32VAB-AA HUBwatch and 
	  DEChub Consolidated Firmware Kit. Your customer will receive
	  the new HUBwatch meida and all new firmware. The new firmware 
	  is required in order to have HUBwatch V3.0 manage the DEChubs.

	. The statement immediately above does NOT negate the need for
   	  the customer to obtain a HUBwatch for OpenVMS VAX PAK. Order the 
	  PAK as part number QL-0GEA9-AA.

On an unrelated topic, older networking products - DECbridge 500, DECbridge
500/600 and DECconcentrator 500 - no longer have an Annual Subscription 
Service. The Subscription Service was similar to MDDS service for these 
products, and would deliver new firmware versions as developed. There
are no plans for further firmware development for these products. As such,
the Subscription Services have been cancelled.

Individual Firmware Kits for these products may still be purchased 
individually. These kits include the device firmware, documentation 
and the DECndu Utility. Reference the following part numbers:

Kit Description

1. DEChub Consolidated Firmware Kit - MS-Windows	QB-32TAD-SA
				      OpenVMS VAX       QB-32TAA-SA

     This kit contains the latest version all DEChub product firmware.
     It also includes the DECndu Plus Utility for DOS, which allows the 
     user to perform the update. The firmware which is contained in this 
     kit is  the latest available for these products:
	DEChub 900MS
	DECbridge 900MX
	DECconcentrator 900MX
	DECrepeater 900FP
	DECrepeater 90FS
	DECrepeater 900GM
	DECrepeater 900TM
	DECagent 90
	DECbridge 90
	DECndu Plus (The Load Utility)
	DECndu Plus Documentation

   Information about the latest firmware releases may be obtained from
   the README document found in the /pub/DEC/hub900 directory at ftp.
   digital.com.  Firmware images are also available at this address.

   Firmware updates are customer installable. To register for automatic
   notification of new firmware releases during the first year of hub
   ownership, your customer may send mail, including their Name, Title 
   and Mailing Address to [email protected], or by returning the 
   business reply card included with the DEChub 900MS, DEChub One and HUBwatch
   products.
   

2. HUBwatch/DEChub Consolidated Firmware Kit -OpenVMS VAX Version 3.0  
   QB-32VAB-AA

     This kit is intended for HUBwatch customers. It includes the entire
     contents of the DEChub Consolidated Firmware Kit for OpenVMS VAX 
     users, plus the following components:
	HUBwatch Media
	HUBwatch Documentation
	GIGAswitch Media
	GIGAswitch Documentation


3. DEChub Consolidated Documentation Kit   QA-32TAA-GZ

     This kit includes the latest documentation for all the DEChub products.
     While Release Notes are included with the firmware kits listed above,
     this is the complete set of updated documentation in hardcopy format.
