980.0. "PROBEwatch bind problem" by HGODCS::RICHARDLAM () Thu May 12 1994 07:07
I found the following inconsistencies in the PROBEWATCH products:
**********************
1. I copied the tar.Z file from the network, uncompressed it. Then it ran
without me using "setld -l". However the owners of all files were set to
"504".
It's alright, however, after I used "chown root *" to change the ownership
of those files.
**********************
2. When I start the software using "pwmanger &", the following message appears
on the screen:
#

980.2 | DECagent = DECpacketprobe ? | HGODCS::RICHARDLAM | | Mon May 16 1994 04:19 | 7 |
|
Note 797 is concerned with DECagent. Do you mean I should just treat
the packet probe as a DECagent 90 and follow the steps in 797 to
upgrade its firmware.
