Hi,
I just talked to one of our customers where we for a long
time have tried to sell DEChub 900 and GigaSwitch. Today
the customer has a single Cisco AGS+ with a lot of Ethernet
modules, and Synoptics hubs.
They just went to a Synoptics seminar where they were told
about a 12-14 port Ethernet->ATM module which would sell
for appx. $15.000, and a large ATM switch with support for
about 35-40 ports which fully configured sold for appx.
$55.000. The availability seemed to be now or soon.
These prices seems to be very very competitive. Is it just
nonsense what they have been told, or does it have some
substance?
