945.0. "Invalid pasteboard-id ?" by ITTO05::ALBERTIN () Fri Apr 29 1994 09:01

	I've configured a version V 2.0.1 of HUBwatch, on a VMS 6.0
	and I can't use a TELNET session console window to a DECbrouter 90T2
	located in a DEChub 900, I get the following message on the window
	and after 10 seconds the window dissapear:

	%SYSTEM-W-NODEVAVL, no device available
	%SMG-F-INVPAS_ID, invalid pasteboard-id

	I did the same installation on a VMS 5.5-2 and there it works
	just fine.

	Does any body out there has an idea of what a pasteboard-id is
	or where the problem may lie?

I'll take a look through the SMG documentation, but I'm running OpenVMS V6.1
on SLINK and that works ok.

What kind of machine is this?

Can you also do me a quick test, please.
	$ SET VERIFY
	$ @SYS$SYSTEM:HUBWATCH$TELNET_LAUNCH <ip-adrs>
where <ip-adrs> is the ip address of your brouter. (you may need to give
your process DETACH privs to do this). This is the command the HUBwatch
brouter TELNET button executes. All it does is a CREATE/TERM/DETACH command.
Does this work on your system?

Thanks,

Tom Hood

    	Tom,

    	the CREATE/TERM/DETACH works, but when I run
    	SYS$SYSTEM:HUBWATCH$TELNET_LAUNCH.COM I get the same problem
    	as when I run it from HUBwatch, with the same comment and after 10 secs
    	the window is gone.
