The final PathDoctor Field Test update is available via DECnet or 
Anonymous FTP from:
 
      hamma.zko.dec.com (2.532, or 16.30.0.138), ~ftp/pub.


NOTE: If you are using ftp to get the kit you must set the ftp mode to
      BINARY *BEFORE* getting the kit. Otherwise the .tar file you get will
      contain junk and you won't be able to run the kit.

Testing on this kit will continue into May so please let Jerry Puoplo
(DELNI::PUOPLO) or Jim Perry (MOLAR::PERRY) know about any problems.  
PathDoctor's FCS date is May 26 and it will be on the special Condist 
available May 31.

This latest kit has a great deal of additional functionality, including:

	* Rule Editor for simple modification of rule thresholds or 
          simple turning ON/OFF rules

        * Graphing. User with Netview installed can graph any node's
          active rules or sample data. The graphing module (XNMgraph)
          from Netview can also give you statistics on average over time
          of any variable or rule value being graphed.

        * Reference Data - select at any time the System descr, contact,
          location info on any object

        * Logging - turn on logging and save all problem events saved
          to a date-time log file.

        * Active Rules - Select any object, and see what rules are active
          on that object at that time.

We have sales tools like POWERPOINT demo (with excellent demo scenarios), OSF
active demos, and color brochures all coming out. For pointers, check
VTX OPAL in the next few weeks or check the MARX::PATHDOCTOR notes file.

POWERPOINT disketts made so they can be distrinuted to customers.

A DECUS, Wayne Mackey will be doing a PathDoctor presentation using the
OPAL presentation we will be making available.  At DECUS, we will be program
announcing we are porting PathDoctor to DOS/Winsows and SUN (4.1.3 and Solaris
2.3).  In actuality, we are targeting to have it ship on these plus VAX/AXP VMS
in the Sept-Nov timeframe.
