887.0. "Dial-in Netware PC user support - IPX and IP" by GUIDUK::KANG (J.H. John Kang - DTN 545-4340) Wed Apr 06 1994 20:28
Hello,
I have a "dialing-in" remote Netware PC client problem. I see there
could be two approaches to make the remote Netware PC client get
to the Netware Servers:
1) Dial-in IPX over PPP
2) Dial-in IP over PPP
Netware supports both.
My understanding is that the first choice will be offered by DECserver
soon (will be in field test in May, '94).
What about the second alternative? Does the DECserver XXX have
this capability yet? If not, when?
Is there any other alternative? I am looking for multiple port
LAN-based modem communication server solution. I've seen Shiva
advertise LANrover/Plus for this type of application.
Thanks.
J.H. John
