I am at a loss as to how to configure a read only community for a DEChub 900. When I use the console, the only thing that is presented is a read/write community and it is not obvious as to how to specify anything other than a single community, let alone a read-only community. Any help appreciated. thanks, Al

845.1 | You could use public | LEVERS::DRAGON | Mon Mar 21 1994 12:45 | 10
Al, If you set the read-write community to something other than public, then you can use public as the read-only community since it is set that way by default. Other than that you may be able to set it via the MIBs, but not through the Hub Installation Menu. Bob

The public common mib contains the object pcomSnmpAuthReadOnlyCommunity This is a read-write object that identifies an SNMP community with addess rights of read-only. See pub-common.mib for more info on the SNMP Authentiction group.
