817.1 | HUBwatch V2.0 handles DEChub 900. | SLINK::HOOD | I'd rather be surfing | Mon Mar 14 1994 11:20 | 11 |
| Yes, he should be able to display a DEChub 900 with HUBwatch V2.0, and he
should also see the power supplies.
Is there any communition between the workstation and the hub? Is he using
the in-band hub agent address? Is there a DECrepeater 900 providing IP
services for the hub agent? Is the out-of-band address being used with
a DECserver 90M/90TL/900TM providing SLIP? Can he ping the devices? Are
the community strings set up to match what he's giving HUBwatch?

| Hi
Probably I didn't explain right , sorry for that.
He can see all the devices on the hubwarch.The questions are.
1-The dechub 900 has a display on it . Should he see that display on
the hubwatch , the only thing he asks is for the display that is on
the dechub shows up on the hubwatch.
2-Regarding power suplly , yes he sees the power suply's , but he
wants to see the power comsuption of the power supply's.What I meant is
If only module connected i have this power , with two modules I have this
power and so on.
Thanks for your help.

817.3 | Not in V2.0 some in V3.0 | QUIVER::HAROKOPUS | | Tue Mar 15 1994 10:37 | 9 |
| 1 - No version 2.0 does not show the LCD display. Probably won't
make it into V3.0 either.
2 - There is no power status information support in V2.0 but
V3.0 will have an environmental summary that will show this information.

Bob

817.4 | Why no display shown | SLINK::HOOD | I'd rather be surfing | Tue Mar 15 1994 11:37 | 7 |
| 1. One of the things that's keeping the display shown in the hub from being
shown in HUBwatch is performance. Scrolling that info and the continuous
SNMP polling would eat up a lot of cycles (both workstation and network).
How much slower do you want HUBwatch? [we're working on performance...]
