807.0. "WGE100: when available ?" by HGOVC::GUPTA () Wed Mar 09 1994 04:49

    When will DECbridge 900MP (DEBMP, seven port ethernet only bridge) be
    available ?

    Can I have some performance figures for this bridge ?

    I need this bridge urgently.

    Regards,
    Gupta

    It should be just like the DB900MX except it will not have the FDDI.
    I do believe that it will be 6 ports however but maybe the 7th
    will be available off the ONEhub. Someone else should know better
    than I. Don't hold your breath, probably summer.

    Sell 'em the 900MX and say that it has an FDDI feature for the future.

807.2DB900MX: detailed docs when/where ???HGOVC::GUPTAWed Mar 09 1994 23:3215
    Where can I find detailed, technical documents on DECbridge 900MX (and
    DECbridge 900MP if ready) ?

    I am interested in various features - source/destination address,
    protocol filtering, address table size, spanning tree support and yes
    any configuration limitations of any kind a la DECbridge 90.

    When routing is added, what all protocols will be supported ? Where can
    I find document which discusses these planned features.

    I will appreciate pointers to detailed, technical docs on these
    bridges.

    Thanks and regards,
    Gupta, Hong Kong

    See note 716.0; I'll see if we can release the draft installation
    guide, but the meat is all in that note. If you have questions, follow
    up here.
