730.0. "HUBW T2.5 & Agent900 problem?" by WARNUT::64021::Tim_Banks (Stealth Marketing :-)) Tue Feb 15 1994 05:34
I have a small problem with T2.5, I can't manage a HUB900 (agent900).
When I specify the agent I get an error message back, within milliseconds,
that the HUB is not reachable (or some such). I can manage a 900TM repeater
in the HUB, and a brouter90 out of the HUB, and I can manage the HUB from the
VMS system sat next to my PC, and I can ping the agent900 from the PC.
I tried setting the MAC address for the repeater in the hub that provides IP
services, in the HUB900 definition, and switching community names between
"private" and "public" but to no avail.
Any ideas chaps?
Thanks
Tim

| Tim,
Is this my 900?
If so I have T2.5 managing it ok. You haven't changed the IP address of
the repeater or Hub have you?
This is a production hub I am setting up.
Give me a call and I will tell you the correct community names and IP
addresses.
