I understand V3 of HUBwatch will provide FDDI management. Can someone please provide further details relating to FDDI management in general: - Will ring mapping be provided? By this I mean the ability to discover FDDI devices, their order on the ring, and the direction the token takes. - Can FDDI utilization of the backbone and specific devices (DEFMM, DEFBA, DEF6M and the Gigaswitch) be monitored and analysed? (I have read note 638) Will this only be possible with HUBwatch or will it be incorporated into PROBEwatch? Will it be possible to look at real-time stats AND to write the data to a history file for subsequent analysis. Also will it incorporate the ability to generate reports from the history file. - Is IP frgmentation supported on the DEFBA Enet-FDDI bridge? - Can the bridge forwarding database be accessed on the DEFBA? Thanks for your help Bernie

No ring mapping in HUBwatch V3.0 maybe later, would like some fedback from the field on how high a priority it is. You can see the Up and down stream neighboors. With the MAC 3 chip there will be FDDI ultilization on the concentrator but just the current not any history. | |||||

IP frag is supported by the bridge and you can see the fwdb from HUBwatch using the find window. |
