685.0. "T2.3 installation problem..." by PRSSOS::PEYRACHE (Jean-Yves Peyrache Country Support Group France) Thu Feb 03 1994 08:01

 hi ,

 i have a problem during the installation of T2.3 of Huwatch:

  i have copied file from the network on disk1 and disk2 afterthat
  first installation with disk1 works as well, but when installation
  display ask for disk2 ,i can't restart the installation wih disk2
  the disk2 seems to be not know by the installation process, and
  this process re-ask always disk2.

   files are good on disk2 , for me ,it's related to a label no found
   on disk2..

  any clue , comments will be very appreciate

 thanks

685.1Label problems or not?OSLACT::BJORNBjrn Olav HaugomThu Feb 03 1994 10:0412
Same applies for me. It's asking for disk #2 repeatedly, and I don't know what
it's not finding. Maybe the label, I don't know.

In the description of this kit, Bill  states;

	 This version is fairly complete in functionality and the install
is much improved.

Well, first you have to get it from diskette to disk, I guess!!!

    And the answer is...

    Label the second disk    "	HUBW10_2  "

685.5Disk Label will not be checked for next releaseQUIVER::PARKThu Feb 03 1994 15:504
    Sorry folks, we will disable the disk label checking for next release.
    However, the disk id will still be checked for installation.

    Thanks...

    I did it this way, and it worked fine.
    copy both floppy disks into the same directory onto your harddisk.
    Start the installation from your HD.

685.7This should fix it...QUIVER::MESSINGERWed Feb 23 1994 14:196

    We should be set now; the 2.8 kit is up there along with updated
    disk.id files.
    Let us know if there are problems.
