In the first version of Hubwatch for Windows there was some nice features such as the inbuilt alarms. I have seen the canned demo that is out for V2.0 and it looks good. However what I need to know is it still going to have the alarm functionality in it. I have a customer whose decision to buy the Windows version rests entirely on this. They feel that it is important to be able to monitor all the hubs in the network at the one time. Without the alarms you can only monitor the hub that you have currently displayed. Can you please let me know what functionality with respect to the alarms is going to be in V2.0. Thanks, Jill Finch

HUBwatch for Windows V2.0 is a *port* of HUBwatch for OpenVMS V2.0. Therefore, alarms are not in it. If your customer can wait for a few more months, HUBwatch for <OpenVMS / OSF/1 / Windows> includes alarms. Tom Hood HUBwatch | |||||

The follow on release of HUBwatch for Windows (dubbed V3.0 for now) will have alarms support via HP OpenView for Windows. This will be available in the May timeframe. Bruce |
