Hi, folks. I'm not used to DECagent 90, but I have to help a field engeneer to upgrade from 1.0 to 1.1. He phoned me and said that he had already loaded the new software, but he wasn't able to get the menu screen in it's console terminal. He told that not even the pound sign appears, and there is a led flashing to indicate that a new IP address is needed, but he doesn't know how to do this without the menu screen. Please, I would like to check the steps to do such upgrade to see if he has done it in the right way. Thanks a lot for any help. Regards. Manoel F. Abreu Neto

The upgrade from V1.0 to V1.1 of the DECagent firmware is a two-step process. See the file: QUIVER::PROJ$722:[ONEHUB.RELEASE.DENMA.V1_1]DENMA_LOAD_PROCEDURE.TXT This should tell you everything you need to know. >> He told that not even the pound sign appears, and there is a led >> flashing to indicate that a new IP address is needed, but he doesn't >> know how to do this without the menu screen. It sounds like the image didn't load properly. If it's the 2nd LED that's flashing, the load failed. When there is no IP address, the 3rd and 4th LEDs will alternately flash at one-second intervals.
